Lifeline Express Charity Event – Dingxi No.2 People’s Hospital

Dr Nikolle Tan was a visiting consultant and lecturer with Lifeline Express, a charity organization that provides eye surgery services to patients in remote parts of China as well as training of doctors in these neglected areas.

In her recent trip to Dingxi in Gansu, China, she visited the Dingxi No.2 People’s Hospital where she delivered lectures on “Small incision cataract surgery”, “Practical points on interpretation of OCT scans” and “Treatment of endophthalmitis”.

In addition, she saw local patients and gave advice to the local doctors on the treatment of complex cases. She also supervised the local doctors in cataract surgeries.
