The process of eye testing, examination and investigations are similar to what adults are required to undergo. Special requirements for children: In order to do a proper risk assessment, please have the following information ready if possible: Birth history of child, Rate of myopia progression (child’s old glasses or glasses prescriptions), Family history of myopia (in particular the myopia status of parents and siblings), Environmental exposure to near work and time spent outdoors.
